The Seven Dials Mystery

Reader:

Agatha Christie was an English detective novelist and playwright whose books have sold more than 100 million copies and have been translated into some 100 languages. Educated at home by her mother, Christie began writing detective fiction while working as a nurse during World War I. Her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, introduced Hercule Poirot, her eccentric and egotistic Belgian detective. Christie’s first major recognition came with The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, which was followed by some 75 novels that usually made best-seller lists. The Seven Dials Mystery was first published in the UK by William Collins & Sons on 24 January 1929 and in the US by Dodd, Mead and Company later in the same year. When a guest dies mysteriously in her house, the intrepid Eileen "Bundle" Brent seeks out to find his killer- only to be drawn into a labyrinth of secret societies and international espionage. Eileen "Bundle" Brent is intrigued by the death of a young man in her bedroom and is determined to find answers. The novel opens at a party in the mansion of the Marquis of Caterham, who has rented it to a wealthy businessman and his wife, Sir Oswald and Lady Coote. There are also three young women and four young men. One of them, Gerald "Gerry" Wade, tends to regularly sleep very late in the day. The other six youngsters plan a joke on Gerald by putting eight alarm clocks in his room after he is asleep… You can listen online to free English audiobook “The Seven Dials Mystery” by Agatha Christie on our website.
