Tony Victor Parsons is an English journalist, broadcaster, and author. He began his career as a music journalist on the NME, writing about punk music. Later, he wrote for The Daily Telegraph, before going on to write for Daily Mirror for 18 years. Since September 2013, he has written his current column for The Sun. He wrote the first cover story on the Clash, and features of the Sex Pistols, Blondie, Talking Heads, the Ramones, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, and Led Zeppelin among others. Stories We Could Tell, published in 2005, is set on a single night in August 1977. Parsons covers topics that deal with the role of music for young people, youth gangs and music culture in this time.
