2nd Chance

James Patterson studied English at Manhattan College and at Vanderbilt University. After abandoning graduate school, he had originally intended to complete a doctorate, he found employment as a junior copywriter at an advertising agency, J. Walter Thompson Co., in New York City. His first attempt at fiction, a dark, stylized crime novel called The Thomas Berryman Number, won the Edgar Allan Poe Award for best first novel from the Mystery Writers of America. Several novels in a similar vein followed though he failed to attract much attention from either critics or the reading public. 2nd Chance is the second novel in the Women's Murder Club series written by James Patterson with Andrew Gross. Publishers Weekly said 2nd Chance was Patterson's most interesting book since When the Wind Blows. In 2nd Chance, the sensational killings that have rocked San Francisco appear to be unrelated except in their brutality. But detective Lindsay Boxer senses there's some thread connecting them all. Working with Chronicle reporter Cindy Thomas, Assistant District Attorney Jill Bernhardt, and medical examiner Claire Washburn, Lindsay discovers that there is indeed a link. The victims were of different ages, lived in different locations, and were killed with different weapons. But each had a close relative in a particular profession, a profession that sends a chill through Lindsay's heart… You can listen online to free English audiobook “2nd Chance” by James Patterson and Andrew Gross on our website.
